



Rea is an experienced professional in the presentation and conservation of time-based media art. Her academic journey began at the Athens School of Fine Arts, where she studied Art Theory and History. She later specialized in the Conservation of Media Art and Digital Information (MA) in Stuttgart, Germany. Between 2020 and 2024, Rea worked as a media conservator at Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, the state museum of modern and contemporary art located in Düsseldorf, where she gained extensive hands-on experience.
Collaborating closely with curatorial and technical teams, she focused on implementing preventive conservation strategies for complex multimedia artworks, developing a digital archiving system, and ensuring the proper presentation of media installations during exhibitions. In 2025, Rea relocated to Athens, where she is dedicated to collaborating with artists and technology specialists to present and manage media artworks. Her research interests include the ethical considerations surrounding the presentation and long-term preservation of obsolete media in art.
